MIRAMICHI - New Brunswick’s police oversight agency is investigating the death of a man inside a jail cell at the municipal police station in Miramichi.

The Serious Incident Response Team says preliminary information suggests that on Sunday night, Miramichi police officers arrested the man for an alleged theft and mischief at a local restaurant.
