It’s night two of Coldplay in ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ and the band’s lead singer, Chris Martin, continues to throw jabs at Rogers Stadium.
In the opening remarks of their Tuesday night show, Martin thanked guests for their support and attendance, “Thank you for travelling on the strange quest that you had to travel on to get to this very bizarre stadium,” he said in .Ìý
“We are solely testing the premise, if you built it they will come. I’m very grateful that you did come,” he said to fans at the start of Tuesdays show.Ìý
Live Nation has since pledged to address the issues, with clearer signage, more staff on site and plans to funnel fans to other nearby subway stations, rather than Downsview Park Station alone.Ìý
The TTC is also offering free rides home to concertgoers, with their purchased Coldplay tickets counting as a fare.Ìý
“I know it’s a pain to get to, I know the travel is difficult and the lines and all of this s—t, and we don’t take that for granted,” Martin said.Ìý
Rogers Stadium is at YZD in North York, a 370-acre decommissioned airport being prepped for residential developments by the company Northcrest.Ìý
