Police probing series of suspected arsons at Etobicoke Burger’s Priest after early morning fire
Officials responded to a small fire inside the fast food restaurant at approximately 3:16 a.m. Tuesday. Police say this is the fourth fire at the location since early June.
ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ police are investigating a series of suspected arsons at the Burger’s Priest in Etobicoke after the restaurant was set on fire four times since early June.Â
Officials responded to a small fire inside the fast food restaurant near The Queensway and The East Mall at approximately 3:16 a.m. Tuesday morning, ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ fire told the Star.Â
Police say a suspect broke into the restaurant, poured liquid accelerant and set it alight, causing significant damage before fleeing.Â

The suspect is described as wearing a light-coloured long sleeve shirt with a dark hood, dark coloured pants, dark coloured shoes and carrying a red jerry gas can in a blue bag, police said in a news release Tuesday evening.
No injuries were reported, ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ fire said. they were closed at the time of the incident.Â
Investigators believe the incident that happened Tuesday is connected to three previous fires at the same location. On July 12, two suspects arrived to the establishment around 4 a.m., poured an accelerant outside the restaurant and caused minor fire damage,Â
One was wearing a dark coloured high-visibility suit, that police say was possibly blue, while the other had on a dark coloured sweater with shorts, red shoes and a backpack.
Three days prior, on July 9, two suspects went to the side door of the building at approximately 2 a.m. and poured an accelerant, causing minor fire damage to an outdoor vestibule, police said. Both were seen wearing dark clothing and carrying a red jerry can in a plastic bag.Â
The first incident at the location occurred June 7 at around 1:30 a.m., when police said two suspects broke into the restaurant and caused minor fire damage at the entrance. One of the suspects was described as wearing a light-coloured tracksuit with light coloured shoes.
Though police believe the four incidents are related, they told the Star that they are unable to confirm whether the same pair of suspects was involved in each case.Â
