Raccoons caused at least 13 power outages in ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ in 2023, ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Hydro says

Last Thursday, interference from a raccoon caused 7,000 ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Hydro customers to lose power.

When a raccoon got into the equipment at a Hydro One transmission station last Thursday, it left a large swath of downtown ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ without power. Some 7,000 customers lost electricity, ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Hydro told the Star.

And it turns out the city’s unofficial mascots have gotten into similar trouble before.
