The ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Region Conservation Authority is warning of high water levels in Lake Ontario and rivers in the GTA.
The organzation issued a watershed conditions statement and water safety and shoreline hazard warning Wednesday night.
Water levels from Wednesday’s heavy rain — which caused flooding and prompted the closure of some ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ roads — are receding or have already receded, the TRCA said.

However, it said water levels in Lake Ontario remain high, and high winds could cause “significant wave action and lake surge.â€
Some rivers in the GTA may still be experiencing water levels resulting in hazardous conditions.
“All shorelines, rivers and streams within the GTA should be considered hazardous,†they said in a release late Wednesday night.
The conservation authority is asking people to exercise caution around Lake Ontario shoreline areas and water bodies.
is not calling for more rain overnight, although they say there is a 60 per cent chance of showers late Thursday night and overnight with a risk of a thunderstorm.
