Oakville’s James Hinchcliffe won’t get the chance to drive for Arrow McLaren in 2020, but with $500,000 U.S. on the table there will be other expectations.


Sam Schmidt, as befits a sharp businessman, has always chosen his words carefully.

He has consistently said that his team, Arrow McLaren SP Racing (a.k.a. Schmidt Peterson Motorsports), has a contract with driver James Hinchcliffe for the 2020 IndyCar season and intends to honour it.
