The 34-year-old man has been a fugitive since last August, when police said he was wanted in connection with the deaths of an 82-year-old woman and a 60-year-old woman, who were found in an Etobicoke home. The women were related to him.
The ensuing manhunt had police urging him to turn himself in. He was believed to be nearby in the Mississauga area, and some neighbours said that he sometimes returned to the area where the house is.
Several neighbours told the Star the victims were Ayala’s grandmother, 82-year-old Colleen Fraser, and his 60-year-old mother Sherry Fraser. He had lived with the two women and had not worked for several years, the source said. Police were initially called to the home for a wellness check after being alerted by a concerned relative.Â
Police remained tight-lipped during the almost yearlong manhunt, with the last official update coming shortly after the women’s deaths in August of last year.Â
He is scheduled to appear in court at the ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Regional Bail Centre on July 15.
