Former professional rower, Wayne Pommen, says many younger consumers ‘don’t trust traditional financial institutions and are more open to digital alternatives.’

Buy-now-pay-later “has gone from a niche curiosity to becoming very mainstream,” says Affirm CRO Wayne Pommen. “All the largest retailers feel they need to offer it.”


Wayne Pommen was interested in buy-now-pay-later financing (BNPL) when it was too small for the big banks.

Now, it’s  and its use is booming among young people.
