Paramedics say they arrived on scene to the child who had been shot, transporting him in critical condition to a local pediatric hospital.Ìý
The boy was pronounced dead in hospital, police wrote.

Outside the Altair Rental Living apartment tower on Martha Eaton Way Saturday morning a ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ police Forensic Identification Truck was parked along with several cruisers. Yellow police tape was blocking a portion of the sidewalk in front of the building where an officer was working. Orange cones were placed inside the caution tape.

Police were also seen working close to the first floor of the building with a ladder.

Around 12:30 a.m. early this morning, Soares said she heard loud bangs which she thought were fireworks at first — then she saw smoke on the sidewalk out front.
“The smoke was coming from here,†she said, gesturing at a portion of the sidewalk blocked off by caution tape. “It’s crazy.â€

Another neighbour who did not want to give her name out of concerns for her safety said she had just returned from walking her dog last night when she saw emergency crews on site and someone being put into an ambulance.
“I couldn’t tell how old they were from when they took them away,†she said.
