Change is looming at Canada’s Wonderland, with the Vaughan amusement park announcing that a new rollercoaster will join its lineup in 2025.Â
AlpenFury, described as the “longest, tallest and fastest launch coaster in the country,” was revealed on Thursday morning in a release.Â
“AlpenFury is a world-class attraction, and we’re excited for the unique thrills it will offer our guests,” Phil Liggett, general manager at Canada’s Wonderland, said in a statement. “The combination of being blasted out of Wonder Mountain, and then racing through nine inversions one right after the other, is going to be an experience guests won’t soon forget.”

According to the amusement park, its newly announced rollercoaster will span 1,000 metres, reaching 115 km per hour while twisting through nine inversions — the most of any launch coaster in North America. Its initial launch will propel riders 50 metres into the sky.
The ride will mark the park’s 19th rollercoaster.
The park added it will be the signature attraction in Alpenfest, which will be officially designated a themed park area next year.
