Police say they found a 55-year-old man lying in the roadway who appeared to have been stabbed.Ìý

The man was stabbed in one area before making his way across St Clair Avenue where he was found,Ìýacting Duty Insp.Brian Maslowski told media Monday morning at the scene.

He was transported to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries, MaslowskiÌýadded.Ìý

“We’ve got the best medical teams working on them,” he said. “Our thoughts are with the victim and hopefully they make a speedy recovery.”

A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene, Maslowski said, adding that it’s “too early to speculate” on the nature of the incident.Ìý

“It’s suffice to say there is no danger to the public,”ÌýMaslowski said, and police are on scene investigating.
