More than 130 people have been arrested in a recent driving task force operation targeting GTA hotspots, Peel police say.
Carried out in May and June, Project ERASE led to more than 2,100 charges being laid, with 684 vehicles investigated, officers said in a Monday.
Eighty-six of the charges were for stunt driving, and 125 were for unnecessary noise, officials said.

The task force operation saw Peel police partner with OPP, as well as ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½, York Region, Halton and Hamilton investigators.
Investigators cited incidents including a driver charged with stunt driving after police clocked them travelling at 209 km/h on May 17. The next day, the driver of a vehicle struck a pickup truck while both were at a street race, with the truck flipping onto its roof, officers said. The driver of the other vehicle received charges including dangerous operation and stunt driving, according to police.
