There have been no injuries related to the recall, Evenflo said on its , adding the “real-world safety risk is small and only applies to one specific mode of use.”
“While the performance difference was minor and only seen in a specific, controlled lab test, we are acting as required,” the company said, noting the seats exceeded chest acceleration limits in Canada.
Evenflo is advising consumers that the seat can still be used in a rear-facing position if installed using the universal anchorage system and that they can also be used in the forward-facing position. The seats shouldn’t be returned to the company or retailers, Evenflo added.
