Five Canadian geese are dead and two others are seriously injured after concerns they were “intentionally” struck by a driver of a vehicle in Markham Thursday afternoon.
The City of Markham said Markham Animal Services (MAS) received multiple calls from concerned commuters about a group of Canada geese who had been struck by a vehicle on around 2 p.m.
When Animal Services Officers arrived to the area, they found seven geese, five of which had succumbed to their injuries. They were promptly removed from the roadway by the city’s roads department.
