Recall issued for tens of thousands of these heated socks sold in Canada after injury
There have been 19 incidents involving the Fieldsheer-branded heated socks in the country, Health Canada said in its recall notice warning about burn and blister risks.
Tens of thousands of heated socks are being recalled across Canada over burn and blister risks, Health Canada says.
The risks come from heat, excessive friction and pressure on wearers’ feet due to the socks, the agency said in its .
The recall concerns three kinds of Fieldsheer-branded heated socks:
There have been 19 incidents and one injury reported involving the socks in Canada as of July 29, the agency said. In the U.S., there have been 10 incidents and one injury reported.

Between August 2021 and June 2025, 26,492 units of the affected apparel were sold in Canada, the agency added, with more than 45,000 sold in the U.S.
Health Canada is urging consumers to “immediately stop using” the recalled socks and contact Fieldsheer for a refund or replacement, adding the socks’ lithium-ion battery packs should be disposed of according to local hazardous waste guidelines.
